Global Blockchain Leaders Meet at Near East University

The "Blockchain and Economy: Trust, Transparency and Growth in the Digital Age" panel was held at Near East University under the hosting of Metaterra. The event brought together leading experts from around the world in Northern Cyprus to discuss the transformation that blockchain technology creates in financial systems.

Presidential Recognition

President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar, who attended the event, drew attention to the strategic importance of digital transformation for the country's economy. Tatar stated that Metaterra's initiative represents an important breakthrough for the island in the field of finance and technology, emphasizing Northern Cyprus's potential to become a regional digital finance center.

President Ersin Tatar noted that the event, which brought together industry representatives from three different continents, increased Northern Cyprus's international visibility in the digital economy field thanks to Metaterra's visionary approach. He evaluated this step as an important turning point in the country's journey towards global financial integration.

Hakan Törehan's Vision

Speaking at the panel, Hakan Törehan emphasized that blockchain technology has the power to transform not only financial systems but entire economic structures. Törehan stated that with the projects they carry out under Miracle Group and Metaterra, they have taken pioneering steps in the field of digital economy and next-generation financial solutions in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.

The event also featured international names such as Douglas Anderson, Stephen Moore, Paul Randall, John Beyer and Fernando Vildósola. Participants shared their views on topics such as the future of blockchain technology, regulation balance, data security and tokenization.
